Equipment
Load Limit: All characters in Dunia can carry up to 6x their STR comfortably. If they go above that value, their base AGI halves. If they go over double their limit, it drops to 0.
Gear: All humanoid characters in DUNIA have access to a total of 11 equipment slots:
- Head: for helmets, hats or circlets. A metallic helmet protects from falling rocks.
- Neck: for necklaces, amulets, torcs and the like.
- Hand: for gloves, wristbands, vambraces, armbands, etc.
- Armor: which can be unarmored (clothes), light (hide, leather, light scales, bone) or heavy (metals, heavy organs such as reinforced scalemail, crystal)
- Waist: for belts which, when fastened, may confer some magical bonus or effect
- Feet: for boots. Only magical footwear will bend around the legs of beastkin.
- Back: for capes, cloaks, hoods and the like, which can be magical just like rings.
- 2 rings: self-explanatory. Many rings in Dunia cause magical effects when worn.
- Main hand: in which a singular or two-handed weapon can be wielded.
- Off-hand: in which a secondary weapon, shield or nothing can be held. It is occupied when wielding a weapon with two hands.
Subtypes: Weaponry in Dunia comes in the following types: one-handed swords, hammers, daggers and axes, and two-handed greatswords, warhammers, spears and battleaxes. Ranged weapons can be classed as bows, crossbows, guns, slings or thrown weapons. Armor can be light, medium or heavy.
