Lawful only. Also known as Explorer, Traveler or Tourist. A scholarly adventurer, armed with an array of tools for study and excavation, who delves into forgotten places for research purposes.
Archeologists are learned academics in the field of history and geography who dedicate their lives to unearthing the past and charting the present. They are typically trained in their field within the halls of academic society, but what pushes a simple scholar to become adopting the life of adventure is their desire to put theory to practice and be on the front lines of historical discovery.
+10 Knowledge of all kinds. Archeologists will instinctively and automatically spot anything hidden within 5 feet of them as if they had succeeded on a Search check. Traps, doors, compartments and otherwise. They also don a wide-brimmed hat which protects them from heatstroke.
Level 3: Archeologists wielding a leather whip bypass the combat disadvantage of being a Civilian. If they expend effort to attack with a whip, they have advantage instead. Additionally, they may use their whip to grab onto objects narrow and solid enough to be latched onto as if they had thrown a length of rope.
Level 7: Archeologists wearing their wide-brimmed hat gain immunity from disease. Additionally, they may use their whip to grapple a target from a distance like a Monk.
Level 13: Archeologists may "identify" an object as if they had cast the spell identify on it, a number of times per day equal to their INT modifier.
Level 17: Archeologists automatically succeed in any kind of Knowledge check.
