Classes > Civilians > Artisan

Also known as Peasant, Peon or Worker, though their actual title depends on their field of expertise. A simple commoner who specializes in a gainful day-to-day trade and seeks to perfect it.

The undeniable core and backbone of every mortal economy, the simple worker is the difference between the mystical past of hunter-gatherer clans at the mercy of the gods and the modern metropolises that have grown around the world over the last millenia. They typically have simple opinions on politics, have little to no interest in any kind of military career beyond defending their home, and know very little if any magic.

The artisan may add their level to the roll of their Craft check. Their true nomenclature and ability depends on their chosen craft, or a chosen 12th profession:

Level 3: Artisans may repair an object over one hour. They can also spend a day upgrading it to +1, +2 at level 7, +3 at level 13 and +4 at level 17.

(Cost: 100/500/1000/5000gp)

Level 7: Seeing an ally crit inspires the artisan, doubling their Craft skill on its next use.

Level 13: Artisans may mass produce items, one extra per AGI modifier per day.

Level 17: Artisans may reduce the check to any one Craft to 10 once per week.
