Also known as Sniper. An expert in the proper use and maintenance of ranged weaponry who hones the art of taking down foes from afar.

Like Fighters, Marksmen come from all walks of life, owing to the necessity of ranged units in all military tactics across all of history. While the act of finding a trigger or pulling a string is relatively trivial, it takes years of training to be called a true Marksman. These veritable sharpshooters can be found in the wilds hunting game others could only dream of using their expert aim, or in the battlefield raining destruction upon their enemies from a safe nest.

Marksmen choose a weapon type to specialize in, which changes their name to the appropriate nomenclature (Archer for bows, Arbalist for crossbows and Gunslinger for guns). They have advantage on accuracy rolls with that weapon type, and can also identify any weapon they specialize in. In addition, Marksmen add their level to their ranged damage.

Level 3: Marksmen shoot twice when performing an attack with their favored weapon.

Level 6: Marksmen may shoot 2 projectiles simultaneously instead of double-shooting.

Level 10: Marksmen may aim and shoot with a -4 accuracy penalty to try to disarm a target from afar, forcing them to drop their weapon. They may set up a snipe in one round, guaranteeing the next will gain a +4 accuracy bonus and result in a critical strike if it lands. A Marksman of this level can make a bullet ricochet and hit a target around corners.

Level 15: Marksmen may consume both their main and bonus action to shoot a volley, individually shooting at every target in sight once (with individual accuracy and damage rolls). They may also triple-shot when performing a main attack with their favored weapon.
