The negative value of armor means how much it reduces from damage taken, as well as from all DEX and AGI skill checks.

All armor hinders spellcasting for anyone but Spellswords.

Wearing or removing armor takes 2 rounds if Light, 4 rounds if Medium and 6 rounds if Heavy, which are halved if an ally spends an action assisting the wearer.

Size: Equipment displayed in the lists below is considered medium-sized, and is the perfect fit for creatures between the size of Dwarves and Dragonkin. Gnomes, Goblins and Half-foots require armor specifically refitted by a blacksmith to be small-sized, and Trolls, Ogres and Minotaur require large-sized armor. Anyone can refit armor over an hour if their Craft skill is equal to 10 + 2 per armor value. Magical equipment switches size to match the bodily form of its wearer.
