Magical beasts, colloquially known as monstrosities or cryptids, aren't constricted by the same standard of intelligence as natural animals. They are usually created by other beings for specific purposes, either magically or through genetic engineering, and are characterized by being modified animals from the material world or directly inspired by them.

Some of them show signs of humanoid-like sapience, and others are remarkably sage and lucid. Some of them are planar beings, originally at home in the outer planes in the world, and thus can be called using planar spells. Their home in that case is inferred from their alignment.

1 Giant Mite - 13, 13, 12, 14, 2, 13, 6 40 ft/rd. Nibbles metal, causing -1 per round to non-magical weapons. 1d8+1 damage.
1 Giant Worm - 10, 16, 13, 5, 1, 7, 3 1d6 bite. Can disguise itself as a stalactite.

4 Gird - 16, 16, 16, 13, 5, 12, 7 Giant four-armed gorilla. Quadstrikes 1d6+3.
5 Catoblepas - 19, 21, 12, 12, 3, 14, 8 A hideous boar-headed giraffe-buffalo hybrid. 5d6+4 damage. Every creature within range must roll CON DC 16 or be disadvantaged.
5 Holyphant - 10, 12, 11, 15, 16, 19, 16 120 ft/rd flight. Thunderblinks every round if upset. Can cast heroism, healing, and protection from evil once per day. Resistant to all non-magical melee. -3 armor.
5 Landshark - 19, 21, 11, 10, 2, 10, 5 Burrows at 40 ft/rd. 4d12+4 damage. -5 armor.
5 Tentacle Terror - 18, 17, 8, 15, 7, 16, 6 Stalagmite-shaped rock creature. -5 armor. Attempts to grab targets with its 4 tendrils each round. If one target is held and fails the 15 DC Escape roll, it is dragged 25 feet closer. If it reaches the Terror, it is bitten for 4d8+4. Each tendril can be struck, and has 20 AGI.
5 Unicorn CG* 18, 15, 14, 11, 17, 16 Doublestrike 2d6+4. Can cast dispel magic, blink, and entangling roots once. The touch of its horn casts healing and greater restoration. Within the presence of a unicorn, all curses end and all good creatures being healed are healed for the maximum value of the effect.
6 Chimera CE 19, 19, 11, 11, 3, 14, 10 Flies 60 ft/rd. Triplestrikes 2d6+4. -3 armor. Can cast dragonbreath once per day.
8 Hydra - 20, 20, 12, 12, 2, 10, 7 Has five heads, each of which can bite for 1d10+5. One of the heads is always awake. If it takes more than 25 damage in one turn, a head falls off. Two regrow the next turn, unless it has taken fire damage. -3 armor.
10 Malephant CE 19, 18, 10, 11, 10, 16, 12 Giant cave elephant demon. Triplestrikes 2d8+4, nat 8 lets it cast deathcloud. -4 armor.
11 Beithir NE 23, 18, 16, 12, 7, 14, 12 50 ft/rd. Giant serpentine centipede-dragon that lives in Whitebarrier lakes. Doublestrikes 3d10+6 and lightning bolts on nat 10. -5 armor.
11 Gynosphinx LN* 18, 16, 15, 13, 18, 18, 18 60 ft/rd flight. Doublestrikes 2d8+4. Immune to charm, fear. Casts detect magic identify, darkness, suggestion, dispel magic, remove curse, tongues and invisibility. -2 armor.
11 Roc - 28, 20, 10, 15, 3, 10, 9 120 ft/rd flight. Doublestrikes 4d8+9. Can hold 1 being in its 2 talons; DC 19 to escape.
14 Kraken, Juvenile CE 24, 20, 11, 13, 19, 15, 17 50 ft/rd swim. Ship-sized. Can commune telepathically, and is immune to fear. Doublestrikes 3d6+7, grappling on nat 6 at DC 20 to escape. Can grapple 10 victims max.
17 Androsphynx LN* 22, 20, 10, 15, 16, 18, 23 See Sphynx. Doublestrikes 2d10+6. Can additionally cast greater restoration.
21 Astral Dreadnought - 28, 25, 7, 10, 5, 14, 18 80 ft/rd flight. Whale-sized reaver of the Astral Sea. Innately causes antimagic wherever it looks, as long as it can see. Triplestrikes for 4d10+9, nat 10 allows it to swallow the victim and transport them to a dimensional stomach that is physically inescapable. -10 armor. Three times per day, it can forcefully succeed one saving throw at will.
23 Kraken CE 30, 25, 11, 10, 22, 18, 20 60 ft/rd swim. The infamous scourge of the material seas. It can breathe air and water, and control weather. Triplestrikes 3d6+10, with nat 6 grappling at DC 18 to escape. -10 armor.
30 The Tarrasque - 30, 30, 11, 10, 3, 11, 11 40 ft/rd speed. Carnivorous turtle dinosaur the size of a castle. Immune to charm, fear and paralysis. If hit by a spell, roll d6: 1-5 absorbs it, and 6 reflects it on the caster. Pentastrikes 4d10. Frightens anyone who sees it WIS DC 17. -15 armor. Three times per day, it can forcefully succeed one saving throw at will. It is immortal, sleeping permanently instead.
